Winnipeg Booth Centre's administrative services support the daily operations of all aspects of Centre ministry, as well as ensuring that the Centre operates up to the national standards of The Salvation Army.

Senior Management Team

Captain Rodney Bungay was born in Newfoundland to Salvation Army Officer Parents who served as international leaders in Papua New Guinea, South Africa, South East Asia, as well as in national appointments in Canada. As an ordained minister of The Salvation Army Captain Bungay has worked in a number of fields;

• As A Corps Officer/Pastor
• As A Seconded Emergency Disaster Services Leader
• As An Executive Director
• As An Instructor For Booth University College’s Not-For-Profit Management Certificate Capstone Course.

Before beginning his ministry with The Salvation Army and completing a BA and later an MA in Leadership he also worked in a wide variety of fields, some of which include …

• Working with the Canadian Forces as a Combat Engineer,
• Working in The Automotive Industry as Certified Journeyman Technician
• Working in The Automotive Industry as a Dealership Parts and Service Manager

His pastime is filled with spending quality time with his wife Paulette of 27 years, his love of Reading, Teaching, Fixing Vehicles or Anything Broken, Fly Fishing, Hunting Big and Small Game, International Traveling, Vegetable Farming and a lifelong fascination with seeking to better understand the theory and “Rubber Meets The Road” realities of Management, Leadership and God’s Word.

As an ordained minister Captain Paulette Bungay has enjoyed working in an exciting number of roles;


• As A Corps Officer/Pastor
• As A Seconded Nurse
• As An Emergency Disaster Services Leader
• As An Assistant Executive Director


Before beginning her diverse ministry with The Salvation Army Paulette enjoyed an exciting career as a Nurse in Ontario and Newfoundland. Later as an officer Paulette went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies as well as a Certificate in Management. Given her keen eye for management and economics Paulette is currently pursuing her formal studies in Business and Finance.


In her spare time Paulette enjoys Reading, Knitting, Crafts, Tole Painting and Travelling Internationally with her Husband.
