The Salvation Army Booth Centre Ministries

Located in Winnipeg’s downtown core, The Salvation Army Booth Centre Ministries continues a tradition
of caring service to individuals and families coping with homelessness, poverty, addictions and mental illness. Since 1886, The Salvation Army in the community of Winnipeg has been meeting needs and providing hope and dignity to those who need it most.

Residential Services

Booth Centre Ministries offers temporary accommodations and meals for up to 250 men and women in a clean, safe and secure environment. Care for an additional 60 persons is offered through Booth Centre Ministries’ SonRise Village Family Shelter. Services include:


• Transitional Shelter
• Sonrise Village Family Shelter
• Additional Services
• Private and semi-private rooms for men and women
• Dormitory accommodations
• Additional “cold weather” space on days of extreme cold
• Family Shelter suites with two or three bedrooms, including accessible suites
• Meals
• Weekly housekeeping
• Laundry facilities
• Emergency clothing depot

 


 

 

 


The Anchorage Addiction Treatment Program


The Anchorage program provides a spectrum of services to men and women battling addictions. Using client-centred therapy that follows a bio-psycho-social model,
the qualified Anchorage staff aims to facilitate personal

development, mental wellness and support an addiction-free

lifestyle.

 

Services include:
• A 60-day Primary care program
• Comprehensive addiction assessment
• Group therapy
• Capacity for 32 participants
• Meals
• Laundry facilities
• Recreation
• Emergency clothing depot
• Aftercare residential program

The Haven


The caring staff at The Haven look to be a guiding light to adult males living with mental illness as they prepare to transition back into community living. The licensed level-5 residential care program uses a client-centred approach, focused on personal and spiritual growth, and offers life-skills coaching and an enriched residential living experience.

• Private rooms
• Capacity for 18 adult males
• Meals
• Laundry facilities
• Recreation
• Medication administration
• Appointment and budget management
